Take a breath Anna!
I listened to the first chapter last night. I like Anna Friel but she is terrible at reading audiobooks. It feels like she is rushing to finish the book. You can hear her taking huge breaths and then she stops in the middle of a sentence to take another, leaving you to piece it together. I’m not sure she knows that commas and full stops indicate.
It’s a shame as I love her as an actress but won’t purchase anymore books that she reads.
Loved the story but struggled listening to the narration!
I love the storyline so it is getting 4 stars, but knocking one off because listening to the narrator was a little painful! Could hear her swallow and salivate and just the icky noises of someone’s mouth you don’t want to be listening to!
Why didn’t I look at the revoews
Dreadful lazy, slurpy narration. Completely distracts and withdraws from the story.
Speed of narration changes throughout but at all the wrong places - there is just too much wrong with this to say. I couldn’t finish listening to the boom it is so bad.
