Publisher Description
Following the smash-hit sci-fi comedy The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe is the second part in Douglas Adams' multi-media phenomenon and cult classic series, read by Martin Freeman.
If you've done six impossible things this morning, why not round it off with breakfast at Milliways, the Restaurant at the end of the Universe?
Which is exactly what the crew of the Heart of Gold plan to do. There's just the small matter of escaping the Vogans, avoiding being taken to the most totally evil world in the Galaxy and teaching a spaceship how to make a proper cup of tea.
And did anyone actually make a reservation?
Follow Arthur Dent's galactic (mis)adventures in the rest of the trilogy with five parts: Life, the Universe and Everything, So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish, and Mostly Harmless.
Customer Reviews
Incredibly captivating.
I love how depressed Marvin sounds when Martin Freeman pronounces his dialogue and how jeering Zaphod sounds when he is making fun of Arthur.
Amazing
Just great how Martin Freeman makes Zephod sound like trump, just like his attitude. But doesn’t really get Ford Arthur and Trilian right, but anyway it’s great and anyone who wants to try a riddle here’s one:
What’s 0.5 nanometers all directions, floats, unseen by the human eye, and is the smallest thing in the universe?
Answer in your review please👍
Stephen Fry please
Why did he have to change Zaphod’s character to having a very loud, shouty, American accent? It’s not pleasant audio book listening at all. And Stephen Fry had already set the accents for the characters, so this doesn’t link to the first audiobook. It’s baffling. Please ask Stephen Fry to record the other books so I can listen to them. How do I get a refund for this one?
