HE KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE IT HURTS...
‘This is crime-writing at its nerve-tingling best’
Harlan Coben
A killer is targeting lone women, torturing and murdering them. The precision of his methods leads Detective Jane Rizzoli to suspect he is medically trained.
Then Jane makes a terrifying discovery. Years ago a young woman was assaulted in a similar way. She escaped by shooting her attacker dead.
So why does it feel like he’s stalking her again?

What a world we inhabit
When I bought The Surgeon, having listened to the preview, I thought I was going to enjoy a well-written thriller. I was wrong. Meticulous description follows meticulous description of brutal surgical murders and the gory melodrama of a good surgeon trying to save lives. This is a novel bathed in blood and cruelty. I ask myself how is that we live in a world where watching the suffering of others is a form of entertainment. Needless to say, I did not finish the book.
