On the first day of Christmas, a dating app offered me
Twelve tailored chances for perfect harmony . . .
Kate Turner is happily single – a bit too happily, in fact. Since returning to her hometown, the sleepy village of Blexford, love hasn’t really had a look in.
But Kate does love Christmas. So when her best friend insists she signs up to the Twelve Dates of Christmas, a brand new dating app service, she doesn’t need too much persuading. Twelve perfect festive dates with the area’s most eligible men – who could say no?
Amongst the twinkling lights and falling snow, over hot chocolates and glasses of red wine, romance is easy to find. But with each date, Kate learns more about the men, and even more about herself.
As the big day approaches, Kate’s left wondering – is it really the season for true love, or will this Christmas be the coldest yet?

A light fluffy Read
A lovely light and easy read perfect after reading something heavy. Two best friends Kate & Matt have known each other since school and one day they have a massive fall out. Kate is broken hearted and leaves the village for years and one day returns. But is dreading seeing Matt.
They make peace and Matt is happy with his current girlfriend.
Kate’s female best friend suggests dating. There is a new app and Kate who is happily single decides to give the 12 dates of Christmas a go. Being a small village the news goes around and the dates begin. To me it was obvious from the start but I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
Love it !
Lovely festive book, this book is really nice I recommend this book if you are into romantic books
A bit aged
I really couldn’t get into this book at first. I felt like the characters all acted far older than they were written to be and some of the content therefore felt slightly prudish. I paused and moved onto another book, coming back when I’d finished that, and got into the story a lot more. I think I needed to get past the introductions and first few dates to really get sold on the story.
It’s really refreshing to have a narrator who is good at accents! This is just an easy, feel-good Christmas story. I wouldn’t say it’s a must read/listen but it’s easy to get lost in while driving or working and I do root for most of the characters.
