Nothing original - very formula
Vendetta in Death proved to be as bad as the last two in series, if not worse. Perhaps by the 49th book in this series Nora Roberts has either simply ran out of original plot ideas and/or totally bored with “... In Death”. The lack of plot originality could be almost bearable if the gang of characters we all know and love had more of their own verve and sparkling repartee. But even there, Vendetta proved lacking.
This formula has certainly been a real cash cow for the author, so I imagine it’s difficult for her and the publisher to say “The End. No more”. But, sadly I do if this is what’s on offer.
