Another great book
Another great book (although truth be told I bought the audiobook)
It aimed I guess at the more younger audience then older but still has the appropriate language that Ben uses throughout his books and I hope he going to do a follow up with solely Abigail again
It was bizarre not to see much action with Peter Grant but I think Ben has chosen the best person to launch a spin off from and I’m hoping for another outing from her I think Ben has given himself enough space to play around with in the main series set to write in other stories.
Set during Peter being away to find the missing girls in book 5 (I think it was book 5 Foxglove Summer), it was a perfect time to launch Abi solo outing supported by new cast and Fox.
Perhaps this also can launch another spin off later in the series of a possible Nightingale set during his early career (but for that I’m hoping for a purely stand alone book)
As for the audio was bizarre not hearing Kobna Holdbrook-Smith read it, except in small potions for the voice of Nightingale but Shvorne Marks does a wonderful job as Abigail
