Never a dull reading moment
A book that I never wanted to end but actually, as the author alludes to, much of the music written and recorded in 1971 is timeless. This book also touches on the wider social and cultural climate of the early seventies, how the modern media world in which we live now was just being born. I recommend any of David Hepworth’s books, which are expertly written, researched and sensitive to the more unsavoury aspects of the music business (during it’s golden age) such as prejudice and inequality.
