Publisher Description

The 2020 New Testament is a literal translation that is not wanting to be bound by man’s doctrine, yet by influence from the spirit of God. The goal of this translation is to help those searching for God to find more truth and go further up the mountain. We have been careful to not deviate the tenses of the words from the original Greek. Here are some examples: John 13:34, “An unused precept I utter with you so that you can love one another, so that seeing that I loved you then you can love one another.” The first and third “can love” in the Greek are in the present subjunctive. No longer giving a previous commandment, instead telling them about an opportunity to go where he went to be able to love one another, the realm of heaven/God that he told many parables about. John 14:3, “so that where I exist then you can exist.” Thomas then expresses his lack of comprehending. Jesus informs them in verse 19, “Then a small space of time, in a future state, this world myself no longer sees, yet you see me, in that I live yet you will live.” Later in John 15:4, he continues by disclosing “remain within myself, in like manner I within you.” Then confirms in John 15:12, “This is my commandment so that you can love one another even as I loved you.” Again “can love” being present subjunctive. Now again in John 15:17, “These things I having commanded to be done by you, so that you can love one another.” Another example is in 2Th. 1:5, “a manifest token from that just judgement from God, with which you to have been deemed entirely deserving of that realm of God, on behalf of which likewise you suffer,” Here “to have been deemed entirely deserving” is aorist (an act or acts completed past or prophetic) passive infinitive. In verse 7, “then with you those being afflicted, rest accompanied of us within that coming of the Lord Jesus from heaven accompanied of angels from that one’s miraculous power,” verse 10, “when he might have come to have been glorified within his sacred, then to have been admired by all those having entrusted, our witness with you that has been entrusted, within that day.” In this verse 10 “he might have come” is aorist subjunctive, “to have been glorified” aorist passive infinitive, “to have been admired” also aorist passive infinitive. 2Th. 2:1-2, continues with “Now we entreat you, brothers, on behalf of that return of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, yet of us gathering together before him, with which yourselves not to have been hastily disturbed because of that intellect, nor yet to be frightened not even on account of that spirit, nor on account of an utterance, nor by the means of this letter, even as on account of us, how that day of the Lord has come.” “has come” being in the perfect tense (a completed action or state or habitual action that began in the past) is in line with the tenses of the previous verses. Rom. 15:4-8, “For all that was written previously, which was written for our instruction, so that by the means of patience then on account of that persuasive discourse of those scriptures we may have which expectation. Now God from that patience then of that persuasive discourse, may he have brought forth with you to be of that same mind with one another even as Jesus the Messiah, so that with one mind with one mouth you may render glorious God, likewise the Father of our Lord Jesus the Messiah. Wherefore receive one another, even as likewise the Messiah having received you, wherefore that glory from God. For I utter, the Messiah to have been caused to be a minister of circumcision by the means of that truth from God, by which to have confirmed those promises of those forefathers,” Will you pray about reading the 2020 New Testament?
