Publisher Description
Welcome to Black Wolf's Bluff, where turning forty doesn't mean your life is over. It might just mean the next unexpected encounter could lead to explosive fireworks—in and out of the bedroom.
He's sworn off dating.
Carter Deveraux is looking forward to a quiet week in Black Wolf's Bluff with his ten-year-old son and his best friend. Definitely no dating, especially after his last disastrous effort. But he never expected their vacation to start with a cute blonde nearly running them off the road. And he certainly never expected his son—and himself—to be captivated by the sassy contractor once they meet in person.
She's sworn off him.
Erin Jenkins is the responsible one, the woman who holds her family and her professional projects together. But something is definitely itching under her skin, tempting her in a different direction, and that itching is aggravated by the appearance of her boss's best friend in Black Wolf's Bluff. His son, Thad, is cute and curious. Too bad his sexy-as-hell dad is an arrogant jackass.
Sparks fly whenever they're in the same room together. Carter might try to deny their chemistry, but Erin fears they have far too much to ever control. Can the heat that flares between them lead somewhere special before they end up going down in flames?
Don't miss this grumpy single dad meeting his match in an independent woman with a not-so-hidden inner smartass.

Absolutely Beautiful and Poignant Story
This is book three in The Silver Foxes of Black Wolf’s Bluff series and it is Carter and Erin’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Carter is a single dad to his ten year old son Thad who is his world but now he is getting frustrated with his sister who was constantly trying to set him up on blind dates after his divorce and was now looking forward to getting away with his son for some quality time at Black Wolf’s Bluff where one of his best friend lives and also where Carter has a stake in a project and what he definitely didn’t want or need was a relationship after his last disaster but some times life had a way of giving you something that you didn’t know that you really needed. Erin worked in construction which is a job that she really enjoyed and loved even though she often got called out for being a woman in a man’s world but that didn’t stop her from what she enjoyed and as a widow she was also fed up with people constantly trying to set her up on dates when she didn’t need them as she was quite happy on her own and with her life. When Erin and Carter meet there is definitely a strong attraction and chemistry between them but Carter didn’t want to feel anything so he was abrupt and grumpy to her but over time they just couldn’t deny what they were feeling but Carter was only there for a short time where as Erin lived there and had no interest in moving so they were at a bit of a stalemate but sometimes things happen that are out of your control and also can’t be denied. Omg I absolutely love this book and it was so emotional in places that I cried and then cried some more and Thad was just the icing on the cake because he was so kind, loving, caring and cute that it definitely added that special something to this story. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting because it was so addictive and I can’t wait to read more books in this amazing series.
