"You can't handle the truth" rang through America's collective conscience in 1992; that sentiment has always been the way the people are treated by governments. Citizens are thankfully blind to what goes on behind the scenes because knowing would promote mass hysteria. This was driven home on April 19, 1995 and September 11, 2001. Freedom is not free, blood will always be spilled, and we, the people, will remain ignorant of how close and how often this amazing country comes to annihilation from threats foreign and domestic. A few souls, working in the shadows, prevent terrorists from turning us into a nation of paranoia by hunting down these purveyors of hate. Is it murder or extermination of vermin? Are citizens entitled to know how they are protected at a cost to national security? You are "The People". You decide.
