A Brief History of Port Talbot Steel Works

This is a book that tells the story of steelmaking in Port Talbot, from the days of the monks at the original Margam Abbey who farmed the land on which the steelworks now stand, up to the present day of world class steelmaking, owned by the Tata Group. At one time, Port Talbot was the most important steel making facility in Europe and was at the centre of post war reconstruction in the UK.
