A Celebration Of Life And Legacy

The baby girl was never supposed to be born. Doctors had declared her dead to her distraught mother, who refused to believe the child she had carried was no more. Then, before the doctors could begin their task of removing the supposedly deceased infant, Paulette Virginia Brown Poindexter announced her grand arrival to the world. Blind at birth, the child also suffered from epilepsy, a condition that would plague her for many years to come, though the blindness would prove temporary.


Paulette’s mother struggled to care for her special-needs child, as well as an older brother and sister. When their mother landed in jail on a larceny charge, Paulette and her siblings ended up in the foster care system, where she endured rejection, cruel treatment, and physical and sexual abuse for over twelve years. Never feeling as though she belonged, Paulette struggled to know who she was, where she had come from, and where she was going.


Through the many ups and downs of her life, Paulette found an anchor for her soul in Christ and is today a healed, victorious woman of God who celebrates her life and rejoices in the legacy God has given her. Her story of triumph will inspire you to press through your own trials and emerge victorious into a life of celebration and a legacy for the generations to come.


Reverend Paulette Virginia Davidson co-pastors Creative Ministries Berachah with her husband, Reverend John T. Davidson, Jr., in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She is also the founder of Heartstrings Ministries and is an accomplished author of numerous Christian dramas, poems, and children’s messages. With her degrees in early childhood education and communications journalism, as well as her degree from the Marilyn J. Davis International School of the Bible, Reverend Davidson uses her gifts and talents to minister the Word of God and usher others into His presence. She has five children and three grandchildren and resides with her husband in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
