Pairing up at Pear Tree Farm in time for Christmas …

Pear Tree Farm in Cornwall, owned by the kind-hearted Nessa Vivian, is known for taking in lost souls, and ex-soldier Crispin Davies is certainly one of those. But the once sleepy caravan park is now a thriving business, and far from the peace and quiet Crispin was craving, he soon finds himself roped into helping out with a short-notice Christmas festival, organised by Nessa’s force-of-nature sister, Lowena.

But despite Crispin’s initial reluctance, his involvement in the festival serves to throw him together with Ashley Spencer, an American woman and fellow lost soul, who works at the nearby Tregereth House. Could Lowena’s ambitious scheme result in a more hopeful Christmas and New Year for them both – with a few surprises along the way?

Nice Christmas story!

We are back at Pear Tree Farm where we find our old friends Nessa and Ward! They are well and have their new baby Tristan! But this book is not about them but it’s about Crispin, the lonely Welsh ex-shoddier and Ashley, Ward’s sister! They are brought together to organise a Christmas Festival and one thing leads to another… can they start trusting other people? Can they trust each other? You only need to start reading to find out

A good read for holidays or even non-holidays

I'm an unashamed fan of Angela Britnell's books and was delighted to find that she's written more about life at Pear Tree Farm in Cornwall.

Now a year later, Ness and Ward are married with a brand new baby, a few of the minor characters from book 1 are more prominent in this story.

It's just before Christmas, Nessa and her sister Lowena are frantically managing a last minute decision to hold Christmas themed weekend festivals. Out of necessity, all the caravan park residents are roped in to help run the weekends.

Ex-soldier Crispin Davies, who was taken in and given sanctuary by Nessa, has returned to Cornwall, he's rebuilding his life and regaining confidence.

Matchmaking Lowena has set Crispin and Ward's sister, Ashley Spence, to work together for the festival. Naturally, not everything runs smoothly, especially when surprising news arrives for Crispin.

Just curl up on the sofa and relax.
