A Country Named Desire

A fictional story set in Beirut, tracing the lives of four adults as they navigate the city's most turbulent years, from the October 17, 2019 revolution, through the Covid-19 pandemic, the Beirut Port explosion of August 2020, the crippling financial and economic collapse, and finally, the Turkish-Syrian earthquake.

A chronicle of human collapse and social dynamics, it reimagines the emotional and moral tensions of A Streetcar Named Desire against the backdrop of Lebanon's unfolding tragedy.
