A Father's Hand

When a highly skilled doctor’s son is killed in war, he creates a biological mutagen meant to heal other seriously injured soldiers. Unfortunately, the cure quickly spreads and infects the rest of the human race, turning its victims into violent monsters.

John Smith (yes, John Smith) leads local survivors to safety, while soldiers Eric Labelle and Ross Thompson begin making their way home from Iraq, and Army Drill Sergeant Aaron Baccharus recovers from a life threatening illness to begin changing the course of the mutant plague.
