A Great Notion, This Love Is

In 219 words, I try to express the new world that a first deep and true love brings to us. I'm no spring chicken, but late in my life, I find that I've been blessed with the most remarkable of people, dropped at my very threshold. I hope these words shed light on the experience I've been having and remind others of their first love, or inspire those still waiting to keep their hopes alive.

The apple, cleft from its bough, wrongly rises;
