Publisher Description
How can an atheist lead a meaningful life? The answer is to follow modern science, give up the
search for purpose in life, and start looking for what truly matters. This requires paying attention
to emotional responses, taking the effort to make emotional judgments true, and constructing a
life that is truly worthy of respect. A Guide for the Godless offers philosophical advice on this quest.

5 star
If people are rating this based on the title, I will do the same! 5 star for the title. I will rate again after reading the book!!
From a 'fool'
Hey, keenreader. How about a review rather than a slogan? Never mind 'read the title' - how about you read the damn book? But then expecting a willingness to think and reflect from someone who thinks a quote from a collection of bronze age myths constitutes an argument is, indeed, 'foolish'.
Open mind?
The one star reviews demonstrate the general attitude of religious zealots, of all faiths.
My most significant encounter with religion was arranging the funeral for my three day old son, when the vicar who we had to have conduct the ceremony told us that there was no chance of him going to heaven if we had a non-religious ceremony....
So, if we were wrong (which I accept is a possibility) and there is a God, then an innocent three day old child can't get into heaven, but a mass murderer who repents on his death bed can?
Makes perfect sense to me.....
