After Mick Routlege catches the garter at his best friend’s wedding, everyone is convinced he’s next. Too bad the only woman he wants has him lodged firmly in the friend zone.
Between her job as a nurse and the demands of her family, Juliette Chen feels like the world is on her shoulders. Spread so thin, she doesn’t have time for a relationship… even if she might like one with her sexy, funny neighbor.
When Mick scores tickets to see their favorite band, he surprises Juliette with an overnight roadtrip. But an unseasonable holiday blizzard traps these two friends in close quarters at the inn hosting the concert. Customer Reviews
Great novella in a wonderful series
This is a stand alone novella in the Men of Misfit Inn series, and yet it still delivers a full impact story - it doesn’t feel rushed and is full of all the Misfit Inn characters we love.
The story focuses on Mick, who is secretly in love with his best friend and neighbor Juliette, despite having been friend-zoned. Juliette is a nurse with a lot of family responsibilities and doesn’t feel she has the time or anything more to offer as overwhelmed. Mick however doesn’t want to be another obligation, he wants to lighten her load.
This is a heartwarming story about friendship, love, family and responsibility… and also about taking a risk for more… taking a chance on love.
