Publisher Description
The novel depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralised by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same time period. It follows the lives of several characters through these events.

A tale of two cities
The archaic language makes difficult reading at times but it is a fantastic story very well written, as one would expect from a Dickens novel.
Jungle book
Well done loved the book I love to read this book until I get old xxx
A ripping, good yarn.
Famous beginning and famous ending, all in the middle is a clever unfolding of a masterful story.
Apart from an odd, clunky paragraph that belabours a point, this is a great read.
I feel enriched by having consumed this narrative, alive in all my senses and ready to laud Dickens again
