In this book the author brings the readers back to Malaya’s and Malaysia’s formative years. Written in the new journalism/novelist style, he stressed that the book is only written for those who love Malaysia and Malaysians.



He analysed the nation’s success in terms of political stability provided by a unique political system which had enabled Malaysians made up of the different races and creeds to enjoy the peace of mind that is rare in many countries. It is also peace of mind that allows Malaysians to work together to build up the country for the standard of living that Malaysians enjoy today.



During its formative years, the country had faced several attempts at upsetting political stability through armed struggle by the Communist terrorists, the May 13 racial riots, the Indonesian Confrontation and the street demonstrations.
