The things I've seen are burned into me, like scars that refuse to fade.
Father John controls everything inside The Fence. And Father John likes rules. Especially about never talking to Outsiders. Because Father John knows the truth. He knows what is right, and what is wrong. He knows what is coming.
Moonbeam is starting to doubt, though. She's starting to see the lies behind Father John's words. She wants him to be found out.
What if the only way out of the darkness is to light a fire?

I absolutely loved it, finished it in around 4 days and would absolutely recommend this book to others!!!It flicks from present to past which can normally be quite hard to understand however it is easily laid out in before and after chapters!
The story is lightly based off of a real event that happened in America. It has so much emotion in it it even made me cry at points.
I myself am 12 but really would recommend to anyone aged 11-15(+)
Even though it comes to a rounded off end I would LOVE to see more!!
The book describes the heart-braking but true story of the Christian Cult. I gave it a four/five because it may upset some viewers of the book. But overall I think it was a excellent book.
