Rockie Wexler's father has created a device than can predict earthquakes. Unfortunately, it can also cause them--and now both Dr. Addison Wexler and the TAQ box have disappeared. 

Whip-smart and gutsy Rockie realizes she needs help to rescue her father from the bad guys. Help arrives as Leslie Sheridan, a hard-edged geologist and self-described pain in the butt with good reason to hate anyone named Wexler.

They despise each other on sight but join forces to find her father and the TAQ box. When Rockie disappears, Sheridan realizes the clock is ticking--and failure is not an option.
