Publisher Description
One of the best-loved books of all time, and later known as Alice in Wonderland, this is the original handwritten manuscript given by Lewis Carroll to Alice Liddell for Christmas 1864. It tells the surreal story of the adventures of a little girl in a fantasy world populated by talking white rabbits, card soldiers and dancing turtles.
Lewis Carroll (the pen name for Charles Dodgson) was only later encouraged to rewrite the story and seek publication.
The manuscript is illustrated throughout by Dodgson, who later commissioned John Tenniel to come up with the drawings we are more familiar with.
This eBookTreasures facsimile edition has a transcription of the text throughout as well as superb narration by Miriam Margoyles.

Perfection
My dear Jetacat. There are thousands of books available to download for FREE! This is because they are now out of copyright. Lewis Carroll's story of Alice in Wonderland is recognised as one of the great Children's stories. Perhaps books from the publishers Mills and Boon is more to your liking?
Marvellous
Lovely to see this handwritten manuscript. I would willingly sever two of my limbs if I could write as inventively and with such elegant sentences.
