Publisher Description

An FBI agent on the trail of a brutal serial killer gets caught in the web of a Xenomorph-worshipping religion in this thrilling murder mystery twist on the Alien universe, for fans of Scott Sigler's Aliens: Phalanx and Alex White's Cold Forge.

In the affluent, technocratic Alexandria Colony, people are disappearing. And witnesses are dying in grisly, mysterious ways—it all reeks of Xenomorphs. At a loss, the Hume City police call in Special Agent Tyler Matterton to solve what they can't. Tyler is a rising star in the FBI's Esoteric Crime Unit, investigating crimes involving exotic tech or first contact situations—the weird murders.

With the local police department baffled, Tyler and his synthetic partner Serena are set on the case, tracking the killer through the underbelly of Hume City only to find themselves in the middle of something much larger and more horrifying than they possibly imagined. There is a cult at the heart of the Alexandria Colony, and it will stop at nothing to serve its Goddess.

In this latest original novel, discover the world of Alien as you've never seen it before. Veteran sci-fi author Gavin G. Smith's deliciously twisted crime thriller is a terrifying thrill ride sure to hook readers from the first page to the last.

Flibberty Gibbert ,

Very original

I could see this plot as a detective tv series.

It gives blade runner meets Alien in its settings and themes.

I really enjoyed the protagonists, an FBI Agent with a Synthetic partner & a cowgirl Marshal on the frontier whose authority is undermined by the big companies worked really well in this book

What’s more, this book introduces new things in the Alien universe with the perverse cult and sinister Bio-T’s

Contrary to other readers that felt like it wasn’t enough Alien or Xeno action- I think it worked in this stories favour. After reading many books crammed full of action Xeno carnage, it was a nice change of pace

The ending was slightly rushed/ anti climactic but I do wonder if there might be more in store as I was left with some questions

Like what happened to the last remaining character? What happened to the last cow containing an Alien 3 Xeno???

I’d love to see a spiritual sequel to this story!

More original than the new Alien: Earth TV show!

And just a good read, you wouldn’t have to be an Alien fan to love this book

CalH83 ,

More of a futuristic cop novel than Alien.

While the read was ok it was pretty disappointing as a whole due to the majority of the novel not really being Alien (xenomorph) based.
More of a sci-fi cop novel.
Some elements were canon.
Waited a long time for the release of a new alien novel and sadly this wasn’t it.
Pretty disappointing really.
