Another good read
Yet another chapter in the ongoing Alien universe. Once again set amongst the fallout of Into Charybdis, and likely before Inferno’s Fall, this story follows the events of yet another failed experiment with the dreaded Xenomorphs whilst the ongoing political tensions around the Galaxy are at an all time high and our protagonists are simply caught up in the mess that ensues.
I was surprised that this book actually has three acts to it in terms of the setting, much like the original Alien film. It was well written and featured more great characters, but the ending made it seem a bit too helpless.
Maybe it’s a convenient way to not have characters show up in future books but I personally felt the surviving characters deserved to go on and obtain their own lives away from any future horror. But it’s unclear what actually happened to them at the end.
I guess we’ll see…
