Characters to Care About
Sometimes you care about the characters in a book; sometimes you don’t like them even if the book is good; sometimes you don’t believe the characters could be real people.
In Always and Forever I found myself really liking and caring about these people. The author created a real world for them with really clear personalities and motivations. I found myself really rooting for the two main characters. They reflect the reality of the diverse world we live in too.
The book also gave me a glimpse into the world of competitive sports which was an interesting setting that has inherent conflict built in.
