Publisher Description

Tensions in the Middle East are simmering when Central Intelligence Angency Director Irene Kennedy pays a visit to Syracuse University, where she hopes to recruit none other than Mitch Rapp, a student who has quickly climbed up the academic and athletic ranks. At first glance, he appears like any other smart, good-looking American college kid. Under the surface, however, a tempest rages. Tragedy entered Mitch's life a year before when 35 of his classmates, including his girlfriend, perished on Pan Am flight 103. Since then, Mitch has grieved their senseless deaths and has felt helpless in his desire for revenge. When Kennedy arrives on campus, his career path is suddenly laid out for him.

Nine months later, after gruelling training, Mitch finds himself in Istanbul on his first assignment, which is to assassinate the Turkish arms dealer who sold the explosives used in the Pan Am attack. Mitch hits his target but quickly sees, for the first time, what revenge means to the enemy. When Mitch's mentor and a fellow recruit are kidnapped and tortured by a dangerous group of Islamic jihadists, he must stop at nothing to save them.

:)

Enjoyed the story, Rapp and Hurley are both interesting characters. However, I felt the ending was a bit anticlimactic.. could have done with a bit more badassery on the escape!

A must read🙌🏻🙌🏻

This is such a page turner, from the moment I picked this book up I didn’t want to put it down. One of the best books I’ve read in a long time.

Amazing!

Picked this up as a freebie from Starbucks about a month ago. Cannot believe the enjoyment I got from this book. I'm the kind of person who picks up a book, loves it and puts it down after a few, finding it very hard to keep concentration. But over the last couple of weeks (I work in television so this is a record for me and my ever busy schedule) I have not been able to stop reading. Having never heard of the series or author before I wasnt really expecting much but I was hooked from page one. Honestly one of the most immersive books I have read for a long time! Heads up to folks who aren't a fan of curse words, can get a tad blue aired at times. Apart from a few typos that can sometimes cause a minor backtrack I can't really fault it. I will happily spend money to carry reading of the exploits of Rapp and his fellow agents. ONE THING!!! This is infact a prequel to a long line of books so I suggest googling the series so you can read them dependant on your preference to real world or in story chronology!
