The genius of writing duo Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen’s novel lies in the authors’ skill for drawing you into their main character’s head. Started off a little slow for me, but I kept going, but then i could not put it down! there was a few parts that made me nervous too! Definitely worth a read 👌

This book had me hooked from the start. It was my first book by this collaboration (Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen) but I’ll definitely be reading their first novel ‘The Wife Between Us’ now.
This is the story of Jessica, a heroine carrying the guilt of something that happened in the past who seized the opportunity to make some cash by taking part in a psychological study. It doesn’t take long for the psychologist to unravel Jessica’s mind and use it to her own advantage and so begins a series of gripping twists and turns.
A must read for fans if Gone Girl and The Girl on The Train.

Disappointing
I read this book having not heard of the author (duo) but was let down by the ending which was a bit of a non-event, which I personally felt was an obvious part of the plot rather than any sort of twist, much like ‘Girl on a train’ which people raved about but I also thought was very disappointing and lacked suspense.
‘An anonymous girl’ is bit of a shame as the book had potential as the concept could be quite interesting.
I was also shocked by the amount of typos and misprints / missing words especially as one of the writers was previously an editor.
An easy read if you are not looking for something too challenging.
