One in a series but can be read as a standalone. Brandon Pearce the new Earl of Sandhurst is on a mission with his friends to uncover and destroy a shadowy criminal organisation that is extending it’s tentacles into government. Using himself as bait at an unsavoury party, he is alarmed to recognise the only woman he ever loved, in disguise and unwilling to confide in him. An enjoyable romp which includes a chase scene worthy of James Bond!
