An invitation to close the gap, to cut off the chains of simulacra... An invitation to closeness, to being with, to respond. An invitation to play. Play-with words, with ideas, with identities (especially scholastically constructed ones), with implication and gesture... gesture as citation. Play as a bulwark against gravitas, against dogmatism, against the temptation of knowledge. Play as reinvigoration and revaluation.
