As We Lay

A short, sweet prose on what it means to love some and how far you're willing to go. A central theme to this piece is what it feels like to be in the unfortunate position of unrequited love. The narrator listens to his friend and colleague, Cassy, discuss the relationship of two of their co-workers, all the while unaware that she may be describing their own relationship.

As We Lay is brief, to the point, but packs an punch and will leave the reader waxing philosophically on the merits of commitment without reciprocation, and the power of the sun on sexual lust.
