Publisher Description
Londyn Bennett entered my world like a hurricane. One I was grossly unprepared for. But in the short time we've known each other, she's opened my eyes to things I never expected. She taught me about acceptance. Compassion. Love.
Because of her, I've also been forced to learn about prejudice. Cruelty. Hate.
We may come from two different worlds, but the second we met, our hearts beat as one, nothing able to sever our connection.
Or so I thought.
When the bubble we've been living in bursts, will our love be strong enough to weather the gale-force winds threatening to upend everything? Or is hate too powerful to overcome?
A wise person once told me that the right path isn't always the easy one.
I didn't realize the right path could be so treacherous.
Atonement in the final book in the Possession Duet, a gripping opposites attract, interracial romance that tests the limits of love.
Customer Reviews
Unexpected. Worth the read
This is the 67th book I’ve read this year so far (2022). Yes I read a lot. It’s the first one I’m leaving a review for. I usually just rate them. I don’t know where to begin but I absolutely have to leave a review.
So first in the first Duet series, Wes was kind of my favourite because he was an innocent party that got genuinely hurt and he didn’t deserve it. So that was the first romance novel where I didn’t feel 100% with the winning couple in the end. I got the story and I was happy for Brooklyn but I was too sad for Wes to be fully happy for those two.
When I realised the next duet was about Wes, I got too excited and genuinely wanted to him happy. I honestly love Wes, he’s my favourite character (from the first four books. Haven’t done the next Duet yet). When I read that his love interest was black was just the cherry on top of the cake because I’m a black woman too.
However, this is the hardest book I have ever had to read and the longest as some chapters were hard to push through. I hated the author at some point but knew I had to push through to get to the ending I know would be worth the hard reading parts. Finally got there and just wanted to say to author “well done. x”
A story that needed to be told
I don’t know how to verbalise the love I have for this book, it was an amazing climax to the story of Wes and Londyn.
As always T.k.Leigh’s writing is amazing and handles sensitive storylines with tact and honesty.
Wes and Lo have to overcome major struggles but as a wiseman once said sometimes the right path isn’t always the easiest.
That is very true of their story, as in both books they send you on a rollercoaster of emotions, ranging from sadness through to exhilaration
At difficult times T.k.Leigh chose to write about some extremely difficult subjects and she executed them with such grace.
If you love books where opposites attract or a book where love faces hardships, this book is for you.
