Back to School Night

Arthur Bailes has spent twenty years following the rules. As a widower and a respected history teacher, he's built a life around responsibility, routine, and keeping his emotions firmly in check.

Then Lexi Johansen appears in his Back-to-School Night classroom. Tall, blonde, and carved from years of iron, she is the literal woman of his dreams. One look at the dense muscle of her arms, the hard sweep of her shoulders, and the power in her legs, and every rule Arthur has ever lived by begins to crack.

Lexi has spent a lifetime being told she's too much. Too strong. Too intense. Too different. People either admire her from a distance or make her feel like she has something to apologize for. She's learned to protect herself by keeping others at arm's length. The last thing she expects is for the quiet teacher who helped her son to look at her as though her body is a drug he's already addicted to.

One reckless night in a locked classroom changes everything.

What begins as raw, irresistible physical chemistry becomes something neither of them can walk away from. The sex is addictive and intense, but their connection runs deeper than either of them expected. But Arthur's professional responsibilities and a small town full of watchful eyes leave little room to hide. As old insecurities rise, keeping their relationship secret comes at a cost.

Some men worship strength.
Others fear it.

When the man she loves begins to push her away, will Lexi do what she's always done and retreat… or will she risk her heart by fighting for a future together?

Back to School Night is a dual-POV erotic romance about female muscle, forbidden desire, and the terrifying risk of being seen. It is Book One of a two-book series, The Santa Barbara Love Stories.
