Barroso has Read Our Media (Utrinski Vesnik‪)‬

Europe's "Prime Minister" Jose Barroso has enjoyed the free thought and high professionalism of the Macedonian media these days. He ended with delight his homework given to him by his counterpart Nikola Gruevski to read, listen to, and watch the Macedonian media and then speak of freedoms and pressures. After three sleepless days and nights Barroso remained breathless, he had no words to describe his delight in the achievements and independence of the Macedonian journalism. After three sleepless days and nights over the thriller of the Macedonian mass media he barely uttered: we committed a big sin against Democratic Republic of Macedonia, and then he fell into coma. What was it that Barroso discovered in the Macedonian media in only three days that many of us are not able to see for decades? In only 20 minutes, the time necessary to glance through the newspapers and magazines without reading a word, Mr. Jose immediately deciphered the secret of the big democratic achievement and independence of the Macedonian papers. The wise Portuguese instantly noticed where the Government, the ministries, the public companies, but also some big traditional advertisers are advertising and where not throughout the media. First, he was struck by the terrible horror of black advertising pages paid by the internal Macedonian revolutionary party that are publicizing the Macedonian criminals grouped in the opposition and the anti-state media. You can nowhere else see such obituaries of journalism. Barroso, normally, noticed two or three papers that cannot endure the big patriotic criteria of the authority, no matter whose money the government is spending. It is a truly European move.
