Publisher Description

Get to know a national icon in Eddie Izzard's hilarious and dazzling autobiography

'Comic genius . . . Entertainment incarnate' Telegraph
______

Star of stage and screen. Tireless supporter of charity. Marathon runner. Political campaigner.
Fashion icon. Human.

There is no one quite like Eddie Izzard. This is the story of how she broke through.

Her relentless optimism has led her to always do things her own way, even if it didn't work the first time, and her incredible self-belief has pushed her to keep on trying, even if it didn't work the second or third time either.

Whether she was putting on teddy bear shows on boarding school beds or swordfighting on the streets of London, Eddie never stopped trying to achieve her dreams of becoming a performer.

Brimming with her distinctively surreal humour and disarming candour, Believe Me tells the story of a person who never took no for an answer.

Unbelievable..!!!

Enjoyable read! I did need to start it twice with quite a gap in between. I'm not sure whether that was to do with accepting the degree of detail, which I ultimately enjoyed. Or, my extreme sadness of you going to boarding school age 6, after losing your mum.
Your personal stamina & patience is unimaginable to me personally.
The times I’ve seen you act are perfect, thank you! I don’t think actors, musicians, singers & camera operators realise how their work can inspire the souls of the listeners/viewers. Thank you for sharing a most interesting, sometimes immensely sad, extremely impressive life story.

Crazy Eddie

If you know Eddie and his comedy you know how he can run off onto a tengent at anytime, this can be quite endearing. This book is exactly that, his story with tangents. I did however, get extremely annoyed at the word "footnote" that is heard at least ten thousand times!! Try and move past it and enjoy.
