Belle-Belle

Marie-Catherine d'Aulnoy (1650-1705) was a French writer, and she was considered the one who developed the genre of aclassical French fairy-tale. Her most popular fairy-tales were: 'The Story Of Pretty Goldilocks', 'The Blue Bird' and 'The Imp Prince'.


This fairy-tale tells us about a king who is forming an army and wants every man who can fight to join him. His army is growing, but some nobleman who has three daughters is depressed by these news: he is obliged to join the army, but he is just too old for it.
