Publisher Description
It was supposed to be a summer we’d never forget.
Instead, everything was stolen from me.
The best friend who was more like a sister. The innocent way I looked at life.
Leaving me with only unanswered questions.
Returning to the island is the second chance I didn’t know I needed.
And Hunter is the surprise that knocks me sideways.
There’s a hurt in him that calls to my own.
A strength I find in sharing our scars.
Igniting a spark that turns to flame.
But someone isn’t happy about the world I’m building for myself.
And nothing will stop them from tearing it all apart…

A Beautiful Journey
Another all consuming, suspenseful visit to Anchor Island. Catherine once again weaves an intricate tale of mystery and romance that keeps you guessing right to the end.
Piper is a lovely character, full of heart and determination. Her mission to restore her childhood holiday destination is full of bittersweet memories and single minded focus. As she goes ‘all in’ to bring the resort back to life she enlists the help of contractor Hunter. Hunter is still recovering from his traumatic ordeal at the hands of Shay’s attacker. He needs a project to get him back on track and to give him some focus. What he isn’t expecting is the workaholic little red hen Piper.
As work starts everything seems to be going well until things take a sinister turn and suddenly Piper doesn’t feel quite so welcome to be back. As heartbreaking events from the past haunt Piper and the Falls, someone seems determined that Piper should move on.
A burning attraction, deep affinity and mutual respect builds between Piper and Hunter. What starts as a friendship slowly burns into something much deeper.
I loved Hunter and his need to look after Piper. Caring and thoughtful I couldn’t help but fall for the enigmatic contractor.
To be loved and protected by both Hunter and Bruno....Piper is a very lucky lady!!
A lovely journey of finding peace, discovery and acceptance with a really heartwarming epilogue.
Sad to leave the Island but looking forward to the next adventure from this brilliant author.
Another great read
This is book 5 in the Wrecked series. Catherine has done it again with a wonderful story.
Piper returns to Whispering Falls after spending many summers there with her best friend and vows to put the ghosts to rest and make it her home. Hunter is contracted to restore Whispering Falls back to life and there is an instant connection between them both.
Piper and her faithful dog Bruno, begin to settle in Anchor and start to build a life until mysterious things start to happen. Break ins, vandalism.
After many setbacks Piper is still determined and will not scare.
This story builds the suspense and has you intrigue and gasping.
I listened to this on audio as well and it was a fantastic read and recording.
