Between Two Worlds

In this coming of age story, Tony Piccinin and Amy Kashiwagi fall in love at a high school Hallowe’en Dance in 1941. He’s Italian—she’s Japanese. After Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, Amy is incarcerated at Manzanar, an American concentration camp, and Tony serves in the Pacific.


Can their love survive racial conflict, bloodshed, and betrayal, or will it be just another casualty of war?
