So many screenshots
This book has taken me over a year to read. I usually take a week or two, three if I don’t like it much. So you might think it odd that this gets 5 stars.
I adore it. I have taken so many screenshots of these pages. Nuggets of wisdom that jumped out at me and said ‘don’t forget me! Carry me with you!’
I’m a big fan of ‘the artists way’ by Julia Cameron and feel like this book is a great accompaniment to that school of thought. That Creativity is natural for all of us, that it’s the stuff that makes life worth living, that it IS life.
Elizabeth Gilbert has a beautiful ted talk about creativity and Muses and inspiration, find it if you’re thinking of reading this book. If you love that you’ll love the book and if you don’t love it… or you find some of the ideas a bit hard to hear, then you probably really need this book.
Read it. Even if you can only handle it in small chunks like me!
