Black Vote

It is the first of the month and the corner of 79th and Cottage Grove is overflowing with activity. The sun is shining. Two volunteers from Black Vote, a young activist group, are talking at a bus stop. There is gunfire, one of the workers is shot and people scatter. The volunteer is back the next day with her arm in a sling, hard at work. The young man who accidentally shot her comes to volunteer at Black Vote.
