A great story - and an important warning

The backdrop to this excellent book is the denial of human rights surrounding the McCarthy Witch Hunts of the 1950s and the Patriot Act introduced after 9/11.

Consequently, reading this book over the two weeks that two US citizens were killed by law enforcement for simply having different views to their own government, made the story seem very real indeed.

Not just a great crime novel but also a timely warning that we ignore history at our peril.
