Publisher Description
When Honor Mitchell accidentally nearly has a one-night stand with the one man who’s completely off-limits, she puts it out of her mind. No harm no foul, right? She has a promise to keep—fulfilling her late best friend’s naughty wish list. The only problem is she can’t stop thinking about Bryce Bishop and his scorching-hot kiss.
Bryce knows he should stay away from the beautiful, free-spirited Honor. His trust in women is shot, not to mention she’s his ex’s best friend. But something about her makes him want to help her with crossing things off the wish list, even if it puts him in a no-win situation. Because his assistance might get Honor what she wants, but suddenly being the do-good guy puts his plans—and heart—in serious jeopardy.

Customer Reviews
4.5 stars sweet standalone romance with an emotional undertone and a HEA!
Firstly, even though the characters from this book were first introduced in the previous book in this series, Keeping Mr Right Now, rest assured, you do not need to have read that book to follow this story. If you have read it, obviously it adds another element of re-visiting other characters but it is not essential, making this a true standalone read.
Blame it on the Kiss is an angsty sweet romance with a heartfelt storyline that definitely draws the reader into the emotional rollercoaster of emotions of learning how to move on without letting the past hold you back. The book also ends up being a one night stand that turns into so much more for two very likeable but flawed characters.
Bryce and Honor have an irresistible chemistry that is clear from the get go in this book but Honor is struggling to deal with disrespecting her best friend who has passed away while also carrying out her five dying wishes. Honor is a unique character but a troubled one after not only losing her best friend but also a previous incident that left her feeling like she couldn’t succeed at anything. However, she is determined to see though to the end completing Payton’s dying wishes, even if it takes a while. Bryce, once he finds out about Payton’s death, is determined to help Honor but ends up in a position where his decision could impact upon his career and also on someone important to Honor after their ultimatum to him. Using dual points of views, we get a good rounded look and understanding of both characters as the book evolves and the chemistry between them that they keep struggling to hold back from fully giving in to as they grow closer naturally.
As with the previous book, this is a well written and edited book that has a good flow to the story with a steady pace. While it is a sweet romance, it edges more on the slightly angsty side iven the circumstances of the plot and what brings Honor and Bryce together. I found Blame it on the Kiss to be emotive and carefully thought out with the development and changing warring emotions with a very realistic plot and realistic flawed characters that as a reader you can truly connect to. The one scene the I personally loved in which Bryce really stole my heart was when helping with the final thing on Payton’s list for Honor; I won’t say what it is to avoid spoilers but all I can say is I so didn’t see it coming but it was such a sweet and poignant moment. There is some explicit content in the book but not enough to distract from the overall story. The HEA ending wrapped up Bryce and Honor’s story to allow this to be read as a standalone read.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book!
