A must for fans
I must say, what a fantastic read for fans. After reading some of the reviews about technical issues, I can safely say it works fine on the iPad 3. There's a ton of features here, timelines, interviews, sound clips, video clips of notable moments; for me the only thing that would have made it perfect would have been the inclusion of a character database. Overall great book, 5 stars!
Doesn't download
No idea what I've done wrong, if anything, but this is hanging on 'downloading' and nothing I can do about it. Not very impressed!
Ligatures?
Six revisions and many 'fi' 'fl' and 'ff' pairs are missing, so 'off' becomes 'o', 'find' becomes 'nd', and so on. Such pairs are often represented by a ligature - a single text character combining both ordinary characters - and it looks as if this has been done here without anyone checking if the iPad can reproduce these or not.
Or at least, not my UK iPad 3 running the very latest available iBooks on the very latest available iOS 7 version.
Sony, please take a look at this.
