Brewing Trouble

Sarah thought she'd settled nicely into her new life. She had a long way left to go.

Sarah Richards has settled into her new life as a witch in Los Gatos, California. She's got friends, a social life of her own, and even recently adopted the young seer Gabe as the little brother she never had. She works for Doc at The Apothecary Tea Shop, learning not only how to blend tea but also how to use her powers responsibly. Life is pretty good and not even Meg– the over-enthusiastic part-timer and wannabe witch– can bring Sarah down. But then Doc gets sick— very sick— and when she winds up in the hospital, Sarah is left in charge of all the duties of the local witch.

When Sarah gets harassed while on a walk, Meg gets attacked in the shop, spirit-specific medical issues cropping up all over, and it becomes clear that there is a single mind behind all these problems— including Doc's illness. Now it's up to Sarah and her friends to find out what's draining Doc's powers and who is behind this new attack on the Los Gatos magical community. Sarah's not ready to shoulder this burden, but she has to try to break the hex because if she fails, Doc dies.
