Absolutely Amazing, Emotional and Addictive Read

This is book nine in The Elsie Creek series and it is Jordi and Luke’s story and omg it is definitely a must read but get your tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them. Jordi is shy, awkward, doesn’t like people touching her and keeps her distance and to herself except for her family after being in a accident that killed her parents but being a florist in the family business with her sister called Stalks and Stems Jordi preferred to deliver the flowers than be in the front of their store even though she still needs to sometimes deal with customers but when she goes to deliver a flowers for a birthday she gets up close and personal with Cecil who is a water buffalo and ends up trapped up against her van until Luke arrives to help rescue Jordi from Cecil but what Luke doesn’t know is that Jordi has a big crush on him even though he would never like someone like her. Luke works as a bottle boy and manager at the pub but when he sees that Cecil had Jordi trapped he goes to help as he has a crush on her but she is so timed around people that he doesn’t want to make a mistake or make Jordi uncomfortable so he suggests that she feeds Cecil her favourite flowers. When Luke’s friend shows him a flyer for the million dollar barra competition that was coming to Elsie Creek Luke was determined to enter because if he won he could start his own fishing tour company but first he needed to find someone that would babysit his grandmother who was forgetting things and was a bit of a danger to herself. When Jordi and Luke start spending time there feelings for each other starts to develop but Luke is hiding a big secret that if revealed it will not only devastate and break Jordi’s heart but also send her running from him. The attraction and chemistry between Jordi and Luke is really strong and there connection is unique and they embrace life even though all the tragedy that surrounds them and then you get Luke’s grandmother Esther who is a absolute blessing, legend, delight along with all her quirks and constantly getting into trouble but always so much fun to be around and then we have the beautiful Cecil who is the wonderful water buffalo and special, spoiled, so loving and worms her way into your heart with all her antics and definitely stole the show. Wow this series just gets better and better with each book that is written and when you read any Elsie Creek story it is like coming home to your family and friends as you become part of the family while living thrall there ups and downs and struggles that they all go through to get there happy ending. This book will make you laugh, cry, cheer, feel all the pain, be hopeful, conquering fear of rejection, living your life for yourself, wanting to give big hugs when the going gets tough while embracing life and going for your dreams. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting until the early hours of the morning as it was so emotional, such a beautiful story and addictive along with situations that was written with so much care, compassion and love that will have you turning the pages while keeping your attention throughout and this story will stay with you long after you have finished reading it. Mel is an incredible author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers going back time and time again to read her stories that are really true masterpieces.
