Cardiac Catheterization

When something goes wrong in the coronary arteries, the arteries that nourish the heart, it's helpful to take a look inside to see what is going on. Traditional x–rays, CT scans, and MRI scans can't do this. But a special test called cardiac catheterization can provide detailed images that show potentially dangerous blockages in an artery or other problems in the heart without opening the chest.
