Two top government scientists, of El Segundo’s Defense Row, are approached by a ranking CDC scientist to combat the approaching global pandemic that is to devastating consequences for the global human population in 2025, i.e. ninety percent of the future generation will be born with physical deformities. Mankind needs females who would be able to carry genetic sequences and offspring perfectly healthy humans for mankind’s survival.

2015.
PASADENA, CA.
Carla Murphy is highly privileged daughter, of a wealthy defense contractor on Defense Row, and has her entire life ahead of her when—
Days before her college graduation at shadowy Pasadena U, Carla awakens to cops in her living room to the double murder, of her fiancé—Matt, and her best friend since childhood—Suzanne—covered beneath coroner sheets. Subsequently, Carla is marched in for fireball questioning by the typically smug Homicide Det. Mike Jarvis. After she is released to her parents’ home, Carla attempts to gather sense of why her world has suddenly turned upside down.
In the meantime—
Jarvis, knowingly, blatantly wills evidence to link Carla to the double murder. Along with his partner, Jarvis arrives at the parents’ home and slaps on the handcuffs.
After arriving at the precinct parking lot, a calculating ambush occurs on Carla and the two detectives. Jarvis, and his partner, are wounded before Jarvis returns fire and kills the perp. Carla escapes while three bodies lie in blood on the precincts asphalt.
