Publisher Description
From the bestselling author of Crazy Rich Asians, now a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE starring Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh and Gemma Chan, comes a deliciously fun story of family, fortune, and fame in Mainland China.
It's the eve of Rachel Chu's wedding, and she should be over the moon. She has a flawless oval-cut diamond, a wedding dress she loves, and a fiancé willing to give up one of the biggest fortunes in Asia in order to marry her. Still, Rachel mourns the fact that her birth father, a man she never knew, won't be there to walk her down the aisle.
Then a chance accident reveals his identity. Suddenly, Rachel is drawn into a dizzying world of Shanghai splendor, a world where people attend church in a penthouse, where exotic cars race down the boulevard, and where people aren't just crazy rich... they're China rich.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Hand-pulled noodles topped with lobster. Diamonds the size of meatballs. Enough luxury brand names to fill a penthouse apartment. A department store’s worth of snarky putdowns and high drama. Like his bestselling debut, Crazy Rich Asians, Kevin Kwan’s second novel is delirious fun with a side of nighttime soap opera. While China Rich Girlfriend revolves around the same characters as the earlier book—primarily NYU professor Nick Young, the scion of one of the wealthiest families in Asia, and his American-born girlfriend, Rachel Chu—anyone can jump right into this modern-day farce and have a ball.

Life in the Rich Fast Lane
The adventures of Rachel and Nicky continue in another expertly imagined take by Kwan. A truly entertaining piece that magnificently outlines Asian lives of wealth and splendour. Phenomenal and descriptive locations, foods, and fashions leaves you green with envy and sick with disgust in the wonderful follow up to Crazy Rich Asians. Each chapter pushes the reader forward as one voraciously devours the book in an effort to keep up with the antics of these colourfully written characters. Congratulations Kwan, we eagerly anticipate the continuation of your immensely entertaining novels.
Airy and addictive!
Great story lines, within story lines.
A light hearted and intriguing view into how the top richest live.
Already on his 3rd book, in 2 weeks, as I said: addictive.
