Chongqing city has changed and modernised remarkably quickly from the city I first visited in 2010. Chongqing is known for its spicy dish of hot pot, and its climate is just as fiery. There is lots to see in the city, historically and when you want to escape the city itself you have options to continue your learning experience through a cruise along the mighty Yangtze River or to visit several mountain retreats such as Black Mountain Valley, Simian Mountain or Shenlong Gorge.
