Chronicles of Jerahmeel

"The Chronicles of Jerahmeel" is a medieval Jewish chronicle attributed to Jerahmeel ben Solomon, a Jewish scholar and chronicler who lived around the 14th century. Moses Gaster (1856–1939) was a Romanianborn Jewish scholar, rabbi, and folklorist. He was wellknown for his extensive research on Jewish folklore, history, and literature. Gaster translated and edited "The Chronicles of Jerahmeel" into English, making this significant Jewish text more accessible to a wider audience. His edition includes not only the translation but also extensive commentary and footnotes that provide context and explanations for the content of the chronicle.
